This song is less of an old man bitching and more of a history lesson on how we used to interact for a generation born in a Facebook world.

Not so long ago things used to be real
Didn't have to post a comment to express how we feel
Ya back in those days we talked face to face
or at the very least you'd call up my place
on a landline, ya on a landline, oh ya

We used to interect with real human beings
no status's to up date, no gifs or no memes
nobody was forced to look at everybodys kids
and no tracking devices to know where everybody is
i killed my landline, i miss my landline, oh no

You never had to worry about what's on your wall
and if something went viral give your doctor a call
you didn't have to sift through their political thoughts
or see pictures of their dinners or their vacation spots
i miss my landline, my busy landline, oh ya

friend me
poke me
tag me

me me
me me
me me

I guess things are better cuz we're all so connected
to people that we barely know and never affected
the superficial aspect that cheapens us all
friend me, poke me, tag me, post some shit on my wall
forget my landline, i guess im doing fine, oh ya
